Installation - Instruction

Garden Decking Installation - Instruction

Garden decking panels, available in several layouts, allow us to arrange any patterns and configurations. Both installing and dismantling them are so easy that the arrangement can be changed many times.

Garden decking modules are installed without use of tools. Each module has two sides with catches and two sides with seats. When installing a panel that is laid catches down, lift the next edge with seats up and put the panel with catches under it. The elements are joined with a latch. It is possible to replace one element without dismantling the whole surface. It is advisable to install the deck on even and hard surfaces with a slight slope to allow water to flow away. Should any module be damaged, you can replace it without dismantling the whole surface. To keep the deck neat, the elements made of acacia wood should be conserved with oil or other impregnating substances every three to six months.

Glass mosaic installation and maintenance

CUTTING mosaic

1. Mosaics are made of glass with the purpose of covering inside walls of buildings.
2. Mosaics are mounted on a mesh which is easy to cut. It is best to choose the mosaic size (or draw aside/together) rows of blocks in such away that there was no need to cut glass.
3. Cutting the blocks of glass mosaic requires professional tools for cutting glass.
4. Before starting the assembly of the mosaic, remove the sticker with product marking from the surface.

PREPARING THE BASE AND GLUING

1. The glass mosaic should be glued on white, flexible mortars designed for arranging the glass mosaic.
2. Before gluing the plasters, prepare the base properly, so that it was clean, even and stable. All bumps should be smoothed.
3. When arranging the mosaic with glue, strictly observe the instructions given by the manufacturer of the product. With improper use of glue gluing mortars, the mosaic can be damaged.
4. After gluing a plaster, immediately remove the glue from the surface of the mosaic, as well as from your hands and tools. The remains of glue cannot be left on the mosaic.

POINTING

1. Use only fine-grain grouts designed for glass mosaics .
2. The grout can be applied evenly with the surface of a tile, or it can be partially taken out.
3. Point using soft rubber grout float. Observe the instructions and parameters provided on the packaging of grout.
4. After application, cleanse with a clean sponge and water.

MAINTENANCE

1. Use agents for glass surfaces without abrasive properties.
2. Cleaning the surface: glass mosaic should only be cleaned with a small not scratching material. Cleaning agents cannot dry on the surface of the mosaic.

CAUTION: Glass mosaics painted and backed from the bottom should not be used in places constantly exposed to water.

Differences in shades and sizes of blocks

Glass mosaic is produced from the natural material, that is why the thickness and size of stone may be varied (tolerance of the dimensions given in the catalogue amounts to ± 2 %). The above mentioned conditions do not constitute basis for complaints. So, make sure that the mosaic planned for one room was always ordered from the same batch. Before arranging the mosaic, make sure that the purchased batch of mosaic has the proper quality, size and shade. Failure to observe the above mentioned conditions does not constitute basis for complaints.

Stone mosaic installation

CUTTING mosaic

1. Stone mosaics are made of natural stone, i.e. marble, travertine, sandstone.
2. Cutting the mosaic can be done by cutting the assembly mesh.
3. Cutting the blocks of stone mosaic requires professional tools for cutting stone.
4. Amateurish cutting of stone mosaic at home is difficult, therefore we recommend to arrange the mosaic pattern in such a way so that there was no need to cut individual blocks.
5. Before starting the assembly of the mosaic, remove the sticker with product marking from the surface.

GLUING mosaic

1. The stone mosaic should be glued on white, flexible mortars designed for arranging the stone mosaic. Observe the instructions and parameters provided on the packaging of glue.
In case the glue dries on the surface of the mosaic, follow the recommendations of the manufacturer of the glue.
5. The glued mosaic should be left to dry, in accordance with the recommendation of the manufacturer of the glue.

POINTING mosaic

Before the total pointing of the stone mosaic, we recommend to test the grout on a smaller surface of stone in order to prevent colour variations.

1. CAUTION: Before pointing the stone mosaic, impregnate the stone so the grout did not bleach it. Colourful grouts with intensive colours may change the shade of the stone.
2. Use grouts designed for stone mosaics.
3. Point using rubber grout float. Observe the instructions and parameters provided on the packaging of grout.
4. The grout can be applied evenly with the surface of a tile, or it can be partially taken out.
5. After application, cleanse with a clean sponge and water. Do not use for twenty-four hours.
6. Observe the recommendations of the manufacturer of the grout.

IMPREGNATING mosaic

1. Protective impregnation: in order to strengthen and secure the stone, we recommend to impregnate the mosaic with the preparations generally available on the market dedicated to mosaics.

Installations instructions for bamboo floor

For the floors with underfloor water heating system, it is recommended to glue the floor to the base. Exclusive design floor is not designed to be installed on underfloor electric heating system. In case of other bases, following ways of installation are possible:
a) Floating system - The way of installation is described in this manual.
b) Gluing to the base - The gluing of the floor should be entrusted to professionals, who will take responsibility for the correct installation.

It must be remembered, that for the entire year, the humidity should be kept between 45% - 60%, and the temperature between 18oC – 24oC. Bamboo floor Bamboo Click H10 Exclusive design is a natural product, thus it may undergo the process of change of width dimensions of a board depending on the change of humidity, e.g. the change of board humidity by 4% may result in the change of the width dimension of this board by about 1%. Therefore, the dilatation adequate to the dimensions of a room should be planned in advance.  Use of the other ways of installation (hammering in to the floor, setting on joists, etc.) will result in the loss of warranty. In newly built structures, the installation of a floor should be done as the last finishing work. All the other installation and finishing works (painting, installation of window frames, etc.) have to be completed earlier and the room needs to be dried. The floor should not be installed in places where it would be exposed to the direct contact with water (bathtub casing, interior of a shower cubicle). After the installation, the room should be aired for about 48h until the characteristic smell evanesces.

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system:

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system1. In the room, where the floor will be installed, packages should be put horizontally for at least 48h. Recommended humidity of a floor before the installation is 9% (±2%). Laying and utilization of the floor should take place in humidity level of 45 – 60% and in temperature between 18oC and 24oC. Humidity of the base should be: for concrete 2% - measured by carbide method (CM), for anhydrite 0,5% - measured by carbide method (CM), for wood 8%. Please, check the ventilation of a room. In case of bad ventilation, wood will absorb humidity, changing the size and shape of the floor.

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system2. The base should be dry, stable and flat. Within the length of 1 metre, differences in the base level should not exceed 2mm. When the unevenness is greater, the base should be levelled. The humidity of the base has to be thoroughly checked. Any problems with humidity need to be dealt with before the installation. When a new base is done, at least 60 days must pass before installing the floor.

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system3. Before laying the floor in floating system, vapour-insulated foil should be spread over the folds and fixed with a moisture-resistant tape. Next to a wall, the tape should be put for about 5cm.

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system4. The base designed for floating floors should be placed on the vapour-insulated foil. We recommend placing the base perpendicularly to the direction of floor installation. This material must be abutted, or placed in the way recommended by the manufacturer (when he instructs otherwise). In case of abutting, the use of tape prevents the material from separating and making gaps.

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system5. The lock at the front of a board that will be adjacent to a wall has to be cut off in order to avoid the problem of masking a dilatation.

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system6. Laying of the floor should be begun in the corner of a room. Distance wedges should be placed along the walls. Dilatation gap should be about 10mm wide. Boards should be laid in rows joined by short sides. The second row as well as the next ones join together using 'click' system. It should be done at an angle of approximately 30°. Between respective rooms and in the rooms bigger than 40m2, dilatation gaps should be about 20mm wide.

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system7. We advise to begin each new row of boards with the remaining (cut off) part from the former row (the part should not be shorter than 40cm). The shift of respective rows of boards by at least 20cm should be kept.

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system8. When there is a necessity to go around some obstacles, e.g. central heating pipes, the part of a board should be marked, appropriately cut to size and installed. One should remember about the 10mm dilatational gap around the omitted element.

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system9. The last strip of boards should be measured very thoroughly before installation. If it is too wide, individual boards should be cut to size. One should remember about the dilatational gap, continuing to keep the above mentioned distances.

Installation instructions for the floor in floating system10. When laying of the floor is over, distance wedges should be removed and the dilatational gap should be covered with skirting boards (shoe moulding). Boards should be fixed to a wall.

Installation instructions for gluing the floor to the base:

1. Any installation works should be entrusted to professionals and executed in accordance with parquet art.
2. In order to glue the floor, it is recommended to use two-component polyurethane flexible glue or other ones, designed for gluing the floors made of bamboo, taking the dimensions of exclusive design floor into consideration. Glue should be spread evenly on the entire surface of a base (on at least 80% of the surface).
3. Instructions of producers of chemicals used during the installation works should be followed.

Installation instructions for the floor with underfloor water heating system:

1. Exclusive design floor is not designed to be installed on underfloor electric heating system.
2. On the base with underfloor water heating system, it is recommended to glue the floor to the base.
3. Any installation works should be entrusted to professionals and executed in accordance with parquet art.
4. The temperature of the floor surface should not exceed 26oC.
5. The prerequisite for commencing the installation of a floor on underfloor water heating system is the report from 21-days of warming of the base prepared and signed by a qualified assembly crew. If the installation does not take place immediately, the base should be warmed again for dozen or so days before the installation.
6. After the installation of the floor, heating should be activated and the temperature should be slowly, gradually increased.

Bamboo mosaic installation

CUTTING mosaic
1. Bamboo mosaics are made of natural wooden bamboo.

INSTALLATION
Individual elements of the mosaic are glued to fibreglass mesh thanks to which the mosaic tiles can be freely cut. Before arranging the mosaic make sure that the surface you are tilling is clean, sound surface and free of dirt, oils, including curing compounds and sealants. The mosaic must not be installed in places exposed to direct contact with water. For installing the mosaic to the wall polyurethane glue designed for wooden product should be used. It is recommended to ude high quality polyurethane glues and strictly follow the manufacturers instructions placed on the packaging. For grouting it is recommended to use flexible and waterproof grouts of leading producers. Make sure that grouting follows the grout manufacturers inmstructions placed on the packaging. Grouting may be done after tile is firmly set and glue is dry and hard. During the pointing under no conditions can the mosaic get dirty, the excess of glue or grout should immediately be removed. Pointed mosaic should be left until it is completely dry. All works should be performed according to the rules of art and HSE rules.
Cleaning
For cleaning the mosaic, cleaning agents designed for cleaning wooden surfaces should be used. It must be stressed that the cleaning material manufacturers instructions must be followed at all times. Every use of detergents or other cleaning agents which are excessively acidic or alkaline could cause irreversible damage to the mosaic surface. Degreasing agents that contain wax, sodium silicate or other additives which leave sticky deposits and thus retain dirt should be avoided. Abrasive powders or cleaners should never be used on the mosaic.
